NASA employs people from all sorts of backgrounds and academic/technical expertise. It's a well-stated fact that people who work at NASA or are involved in any of it's programs are hard working and self-driven.
But, for a fresher to straight away go and work at NASA, sounds astounding. You must be having some credentials which can shock the selection committee.
Moreover, I think besides you being an academic pioneer (only after your B.Tech) and et al, there is another one-big pre-requisite for you being employed at NASA.
You have to be an American Citizen, before they evaluate you for other job-related requirements. Below I attached a section of one of the job descriptions documents, which is related to the pre-qualifications of an Astronaut profile.
Now, I don't work at NASA, and have no intention to do so too. But, I would still request you to direct this query to someone who may know first-hand how Non-Americans can be employed at NASA, and in what profiles.
Robert Frost, may want to look into this and elaborate, if we wishes too.
I don't want to discourage you, because as an Indian, we know of legends like Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams, who have been there and brought laurels to their home country and NASA. You may want to understand what path they followed, and how is your journey going to be any closer to theirs.
Good luck !!
